Best Stadiums in the NFL

So I presented my picks for the best college football uniforms. Now I want to go a sligthly different direction with my picks for the best NFL stadiums. This should kick off a new wave of "best list" blogs. Lets begin with the honorable mention.

HONORABLE MENTION: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida
PRIMARY TEAM: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL), University of South Florida (NCAA)
SEATING CAPACITY: 65,890
OPENED: 1998

Though this stadium isn't the prettiest too look at, and it certainly isn't the largest. It has a FREAKING pirate ship, how cool is that? So it gets an honorable mention in my list.

#10: Solider Field, Chicago, Illinios
PRIMARY TEAM: Chicago Bears (NFL)
SEATING CAPACITY: 61.500
OPENED: 1924, 2003

If you have ever been to Chicago, then you know the architecture there is just simply stunning. My wife and I got to visit it last year and it was awesome. Well, Solider Field fits right in with the rest of the city. Even with its recent renovation in 2003, Soldier Field is a classic stadium and a staple in the NFL. Though it is a relatively small stadium.
#9: Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver, Colorado
PRIMARY TEAM: Denver Broncos (NFL)
SEATING CAPACITY: 76,125
OPENED: 2001

I remember watching John Elway play for the Broncos in the old Mile High Stadium. I also watched the very first Broncos game in the new stadium in 2001. This stadium isn't overly flashy like some stadiums, but it has a type of subtle elegance. The bronco state over the jumbo screen is amazing.

#8: Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, Texas
PRIMARY TEAM: Dallas Cowboys (NFL)
SEATING CAPACITY: 113,000
OPENED: 2009

When it comes to flashy stadiums, look no further than Arlinton, TX. The Dallas Cowboys have built the embodiment of flashy with Cowboys Stadium. I personally feel like it is over done, but who would want to play Call of Duty on that giant screen.

#7: University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona
PRIMARY TEAM: Arizona Cardinals (NFL)
SEATING CAPACITY: 62,400
OPENED: 2006

The University of Phoenix Stadium is a very unique stadium. Though it leans towards the flashy style of Cowboys Stadium, it does it in it's own little way.

#6: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana
PRIMARY TEAM: Indianapolis Colts (NFL)
SEATING CAPACITY: 62,421
OPENING: 2008

The Indianapolis Colts have a very good blend of flash and class. The exterior of the stadium is simply amazing. The design seems to neglect traditional stadium designs, There isn't an over abundance of luxury, just enough to spice things up.

#5: Ford Field: Detroit, Michigan
PRIMARY TEAM: Detroit Lions (NFL)
SEATING CAPACITY: 65,000
OPENED: 2002

Another stadium that has greatly blended class and flash, though I think they did it just a little better. The exterior is once again not  a traditional stadium design. The interior is still a sight to see.

#4: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro Massachusetts
PRIMARY TEAM: New England Patriots (NFL)
SEATING CAPACITY: 68,756
OPENED: 2002

It seemed like many of my selections were going to be domes, but I just had to say, I prefer outdoor stadiums really. The Patriots stadium is very nice, keeping the outdoor stadium alive even though it isn't very large. The stadium just has a lot of character to it. Maybe it comes from the Patriots recent success since the stadium was built.

#3: Reliant Stadium, Houston, Texas
PRIMARY TEAM: Houston Texans (NFL)
SEATING CAPACITY: 71,054
OPENED: 2002

Many of the stadiums on my list have been new retractable roof domes, or just brand new domes. Reliant Stadium began that trend in the NFL with its retractable roof. However, even with its roof closed, the stadium receives enough natural light to make it feel like an open field.

#2: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
PRIMARY TEAM: Green Bay Packers (NFL)
SEATING CAPACITY: 73,094
OPENED: 1957

When talking about the greatest stadiums in the NFL, Lambeau Field has to be mentioned. Though the stadium is aged, it is the Fenway Park of football. If the Packers ever tear down this ballpark, I would be speechless. The stadium is as much a part of football as the forward pass is.

#1: CenturyLink Field, Seattle, Washington
PRIMARY TEAM: Seattle Seahawks (NFL), Washington Huskies (NCAA)
SEATING CAPACITY: 67,000
OPENED: 2002

Now, you may be wondering why I would chose any stadium over Lambeau Field. Well, Lambeau is great, but CenturyLink Field combines the best of the old world ballparks and modern designs. It has class, flash, character, and uniqueness. This stadium has it all.

NFL Replacement Officials

I have to speak my mind about the NFL situation again. The game last night was blown, there is no question about that. I agree the Green Bay Packers won that game and had it taken from them. However, I am sick and tired of all these journalists and sports analyzers demanding that Commissioner Roger Goodell give the officials whatever they demand. The NFL, and professional sports in general, are first and foremost a business. The entire point of a business is to make money. You will argue, no the NFL is there to provide the very best football in the world; then why do they charge to get in? If the NFL existed simply to provide the best possible football experience to their audiences, then they wouldn't care how much it cost, they would do whateer was best for the game. But the NFL is a cartel of businesses. Each of the thirty-two teams are their own businesses with their own target markets and product for each market. Last year, the NFL and it's team owners had to sacrifice their rights as owners in order to not miss any games. The primary right they had to sacrifice were their profits. When you own a company/business, you own the right to any profit that company has at the end of the fiscal year; this is a fundamental business philosophy. It also means, that if your company loses money over the year, you must cover that loss and will get nothig for the year. Yor employees do not share in your potential profits since you pay them a salary, and they do not share in any potential loss the company has since their salary is part of the companies expenses that the owner must pay. Why then, can the NFL players (the players are employees) require that the owners share in any potential profits, in fact, not only share in the profits but give over half the profits to the players union and not share any potential losses. This is a complete disregard for business procedure. but in an effort to keep the fans happy and to not miss any games, the NFL caved to the demands of the players. Now the officials union is wanting a small piece of the pie. The officials are not full time employees; they have other jobs that they work at during the week. Why then must the NFL provide a massive retirment program for employees that only work for them one day a week. Do I like how the current officials are calling the games? NO! Do I think the NFL should cave into the demands of the old officials? NO! Can the NFL make the game better with the current officials? Without a doubt! The NFL should train these current officials and explain the rule book to them. Make these officials just as good as the old officials and then eliminate the need for the old officials. That is my suggestion.

WBC Sports 6

The WBC Eagles Volleyball team were unable to right the ship this evening against conference foe Park University. Though the Eagles lost, I saw a determination to win through the entire game that I haven't seen in previous losses. The team fought to the bitter end and tried to hold out in the 3-0 loss. The Eagles also suffered a key injury to SR Katie Thomas; her loss was felt immediately. Transition from offense to defense seems to be the biggest weakness on the very young team, and with Thomas' injury they will need their younger players to step up on defense. Offensively the girls look good; of course there is room for improvement, but the team is finding it's offensive stars. Their is still time to turn the season around. With a month left in the season WBC could easily regain its composure and make the conference tournament.

NFL Week 3

So the NFL is beginning to hit it's stride as the season is ready to finish week 3 with a Monday Night Football showdown between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks. However, I want to look at yesturdays surprises. Of course I have to mention the Belichick incceident. Although I do not agree with any sort of harassing the officials have recieved this season. I do not think Belichick was trying to harass or attack the ref, he simply wanted to talk about that field goal. However the ref blew him off thinking he was going to be just like the rest of the coaches that wanted to argue. However, I think it's time to weight in on the issue of the "replacement officials" as everyone calls them. These men are doing the best they can with the situation they have been given. They are not used to calling games at the NFL's speed, and they are not used to the NFL's style of rules and play. But, with that said, players and coaches have crossed the line when handling the new officials. Commissioner Goodell needs to start penalizing the coaches and players that harass the officials and needs to offer trainning to the new officials so they can learn how to make the right call during the week while they are not surronded by screaming fans and teams. The labor issues with the Officials Union will not go away soon, so these officials will still be here for the near future and could possibly become a permant fixture. As these refs gain experience in the NFL they will become better at making calls and will eventually make the old officials useless. However, that will only happen if the NFL defends them and gives them every opportunity to get the calls right. But for now we will get to watch the circus as it plays out before us every Sunday.

WBC Sports 5

The WBC Eagles weekend action gave us some great games. The Eagles Soccer team fought hard but were unable to defeat conference opponent William Woods University. The defense looked strong through most of the game but the offense couldn't finish when it needed too. The return of SR Goal Keeper Hector Vera helped keep the game close but the youth and inexperience hurt the overall effort.

Along with the soccer game, our school hosted the Hannibal-LaGrange University women's volleyball team today in a double header. After taking a quick 2-0 lead in the first game, WBC dropped the next three sets to lose the game 3-2. In game two, SR Katie Thomas had a late push in the last two sets keeping the score close, but WBc eventually lost in the fifth due too some questionable official calls. But, if the team had played stronger on defense, those last two calls wouldn't have made a difference in the game. Though the team leaders tried to will the team to win in both games, both coming down to the wire, our defense just looked sloppy and the offense couldn't over come that short fall. My Player of game one for WBC would have to be Jameea Ward SO, and for game two Katie Thomas SR.

WBC Sports 4

It's time for another weekend of WBC Eagles Sports. The Volleyball and Soccer teams will be in action this weekend against conference opponents.

The Eagles Soccer team will be facing William Woods University at 11am tomorrow. The team is coming of a loss to Central Baptist College on Monday, 2-4. They look to improve their conference record to 2-0 and overall record too 2-4. Though the team is struggling with injuries to many of the veterans of the team.

Pictured is: Henry Pineda, SR, Captain

The Eagles volleyball team is also competing against a conference rival in Hannibal-LaGrange University. The Eagles are looking for help from their seniors (pictured below) and juniors to improve their conference record to 5-4. After suffering two losses too Columbia College in last weekends double header on the road, the eagles will hopefully have a strong home crowd support for the games tomorrow at 11:30am and 1pm.

Best College Football Uniforms

So after a few weeks of college football have passed, I would like to give you a few of the uniforms I think have stood out over the early season and which uniforms I'm glsd haven't changed. Now, there are so many lists out there of the best uniforms in college football; msny of these list base their findings off different things. Some do not like the busy and flashy designs of Nike/Oregon. However, my collection will not be based on flash or traditional; I will choose, hopefully, on appeal, lasting impact, and overall look. Now, I will be listing my top 10, and a few honorable mentions. I will say this,  some of my selections are of teams I do not really care for, but I have to be honest, they have good uniforms. In fact, my favorite team (Arkansas Razorbacks) didn't make it on the the list at all, though I will discuss them towards the end of the post. So let's begin with my honorable mentions.

3rd Honorable Mention: Arkansas State University Red Wolves
Ark. State has just recently gone to this design. Last season was the first time they went with a solid uniform, no stripes or fancy designs and a simple helmet. I actually like the simplicity and yet edgeyness of the look. This season they added scratch marks to the shoulders and pants but nothing too dramatic. Ark. State has several combinations to use; Red Top/Black Pant (my favorite), Red Top/Red Pant, Black Top/Red Pant (least fovorite), Black Top/Black Pant, White Top/Red, White, or Black Pant. I hope Ark. State keeps this design for the forseeable future.

2nd Honorable Mention: University of Alabama Crimson Tide
This was hard for me. I'm a Bama fan, but just really couldn't justify putting them in the top 10. Though their uniform is original with the numbered helmet instead of a logo, and very traditional, I see so many teams that simply do red and white colors that I can't justify putting Bama near the top. However, the uniform perfectly fits with Alabama's no nonsense style of football.

1st Honorable Mention: Oklahoma State Univesity Cowboys
OSU has recently gotten involved in the Nike evolution of uniforms and done, what I consider the best redesigns of a classic uniform out there. The new dark gray primary color on the uniform and helmet really makes the uniform stand out as an original. The only draw back is the newness of the unirom that keeps it from the top 10.

TOP 10
#10 University of Michigan Wolverines
When you thnk of classic college football uniforms, you can almost always see Michigans iconic design. You may be wondering why they only made it to #10, well in the past few season, Michigan has began to mess with  perfection. The new designs just detract from the focal point of the uniform which is the helmet. Michigan would have been in my top 3, three years ago, but now I can't give them any better than 10th.

#9 Texas Christian University Horned Frogs
Not only did TCU make the perfect choice on a mascot, they also perfectly chose their colors. The combanations that TCU has is amazing, the only thing bad I have to say is the black helmets just make the uniform to dark. Otherwise I throughly enjoy the uniform. My favorite combantion is the Gray Helmet/Purple Top/Black Pant.

#8 University of North Carolina Tar Heels
Despite North Carolina's recent attempts to modernize the uniform, the color scheme of the Tar Heels is what makes this uniform unforgetable. The powder blue is so uniquie and eye catching. UNC needs to just stick with a simple tradtional design with minor stripes to accent the master piece they have created.

#7 Pennsylvania State University Nittnay Lions

Much of the rest of the list will be based heavily on color choice and use of those colors like Penn State's amazing uniforms. The simplicity of the design almost makes it more dramatic. I'm glad the only change made this season was the adding of names to the back. The all white road uniform is just as dramatic as the team looks like ghosts.

#6 University of Oregon Ducks
The team that has led the uniform evolution or revolution is none other than the Oregon Ducks. Thanks to the schools close ties to Nike, the sporting goods giant, the Ducks have new uniforms almost every year. However it must be said, Nike and the Ducks have had some massive failures in the uniform department. This season seems to be the first and only season they have gotten the yellow top right. Though I had to drop Oregon from my top 5 this season since they removed the one piece of tradition the uniform had, the O on the sides of the helmets. This one change has dropped them slightly in my book but overall you have to like what Nike and Oregon are doing for college football.

#5 University of Miami Hurricanes
After Oregons fall out of the top 5 for me, there is only one clear choice to replace them. Miami has done a great job with their color selection and uniform designs the ppast two decades. They kept the very traditional look through the 90s and it still looked great. In the 00s they went to a more modern look while still keeping the same thing that made their uniform great, the U! Their helmet logo is so associated with them that it has become a type of school slogan as well as nickname. My favorite is the green top with white pant. I will point out however that the pro combat uniforms Nike has given Miami are nowhere near the quality of the original. I'm glad they are not going to use that design all the time.

#4 Florida State University Seminoles
You cannot think of Miami without considering their biggest rival FSU. I love watching this game and not just for the football. Both teams have such great uniforms. FSU has done a little better with their uniforms simply because of that amazing spear on the helmet. However, the pro combat uniforms from Nike are still not up to the level of the original uniform and I'm glad they haven't changed their uniform design because of the increased shift towards Nike's radical design. FSU did try to change the overall uniform jst recently and it didn't look right. FSU must remain in their Red and Gold.

#3 University of Gerogia Bulldogs
The Bulldogs have tried to mix things up with their uniform and it simply doesn't work. The traditional uniforms are their best and they look amazing. The black top look is good for special occasions and should be kept for that. Overall, there isn't much bad to say about this design.

#2 Ohio State University Buckeyes
Ohio State is best known for its unique helmet and the buckeyes they put on the helmets. Like their rival Michigan, Ohio State has kept the same basic design for decades and it still works. Their road uniforms are the best in my opinion, though once again this is another team that has failed at the pro combat uniform game.

#1 University of Florida Gators
Who can argue with this decision. No, the Gators are not my favorite team, nor are they even close to being one of my favorite teams. They are however my choice for best uniform with their traditional blue and orange uniforms. Though any of the other uniforms Florida has tried have been subpar, their traditional Orange Helmet/Blue Top/White Pants have become a symbol of the school. I am certain someone will disagree, but I doubt they will change my mind. Even when the Gators use orange tops I think they look good, thoug hthe orange tops should be used very sparingly. I do enjoy the Blue Top/ORange Pant combanation.

So, I have given you my top 10 uniforms in college football today. Though I didn't cover all uniforms and my selection method was somewhat biasised on color combos, I think you can at least see the merits in my choices. I would like to point out a few teams that could have made the list, Auburn (notably the hardest not to put on, but I think it was necessary, but they really could have easily taken Arkansas State's position), Notre Dame, Texas, and Utah State's new uniforms all could have made good additions to the list. I did find it interesting that I placed the three major Florida schools in the top five. I guess they just now how to put together a uniform down there in the Sunshine State. I look forward to revisiting this list next year to see what changes should be made.

Now I must discuss my team, the Arkansas Razorback's new uniforms. I was let down when Arkansas, once again, changed their football uniforms this off season after actually liking last seasons unique design. After the terrible start to the season, I must say that the only good thing I can find about the Hogs is the new uniform is growing on me. I like the red helmet without the shinning gloss of last season. The fading numbers and addition of a charcoal uniform is interesting. However, the new white helmet is disgusting. I would have gone for a charcoal helmet or perhaps a faded logo. I am looking forward the Razorbacks returning to the level of play we have come to expect from them and for this uniform to continue to grow me, though it will be a long time before it could make it onto my list of best uniforms.

How to Right the Ship in Fayetville

The University of Arkansas Razorbacks Football Program is not sinking; you can almost accurately say it is sunk! The hire of John L Smith was not the saving grace the school was hoping and now the school is looking like the worst, which it is, team in the SEC. But, how can the ship be saved, or at the very least, the passengers (fans and players) be saved. Well, it means swift actions are needed to regain the confidence of the fans and players. This could come through several ways, but one of those ways is not firing John L Smith. Firing Smith would simply add to the load already on the team. However, a more open and aggressive search for a permanent head coach. This needs to be spear headed by aggressive pursuit of top coaching candadites. My primary focus would be on defensive minded coaches. Alabama's Kirby Smart would be on the top of my list. Charie Strong of Louisville, James Franklin of Vanderbilt could be a long shot, Todd Grantham of Georgia, and John Chavis of LSU are just a few names to consider. Now, a new coach for the future is only the beginning. You must prove to your fans that this will be a one time deal. This comes from a strong push in bringing in good solid recruits. Arkansas has the chance still to compete on the national level and that must be used to draw in national level talent. Do not let Nick Saban and Alabama just have their choice from the top recruits. These are just a few steps that should be taken to ensure that the Razorback Football program won't make this type of season a habit. Though this season cannot be salavged in any other form than perhaps pride, the future of the team can be protected if the school acts quickly and aggressively.

WBC Sports 3

So I realized I have done a sports update on my school in a while. Lets begin with volleyball; after starting the season 9-0, the Eagles have gone 2-4 since. With a 3-4 conference record, WBC finds itself in a small hole to start conference play. The youth of the team seems to be catching up with them as the season progresses, with only five upper classmen on the team (4 Sr., 1 Jr.), inexperience seems to be the biggest obstacle. However, I have faith that Coach Newell can turn things around quickly and finish the season strong.

The WBC soccer team is off to a much different start. At 1-3, the Eagles have seemed to stubble out of the gate. However, despite losing their first three games, the Eagles have started conference play with a win. Another team filled with inexperience, the Eagle's soccer team has plenty of time to turn their season around as conference play continues. I look forward to bringing you more information about the WBC Eagles teams as the season progresses.

Razorbacks Fan for Life

So, I am an Arkansas Razorbacks fan. And yes, I said Arkansas couldn't loose to University of Louisiana at Monroe Warhawks. I was wrong, and Arkansas, the #8 ranked team in the nation lost in overtime. Now, Arkansas must face, without a doubt, the best team in the nation in the Alabama Crimson Tide. Not only must they play this mammoth of a team, they must do it without star quarterback Tyler Wilson; Wilson suffered a concussion during the ULM game last week. So now I must state the obvious, Alabama will beat Arkansas this weekend in Fayetteville, AR. However, I am and always have been a strong believer that any team can beat any team with the proper coaching and mental determination; just look at ULM. With that said, Arkansas may have the proper mental mind set to beat Alabama, but they do not have the quality coaching needed to do it. John L Smith is not the long term answer for Razorbacks football and to be honest, shouldn't have been hired this off season. Other than being familiar with the offensive scheme Bobby Petrino left behind, Smith simply had no reason to be looked at as the next head coach. Personally, I would have gone after Kirby Smart; defensive coordinator at the University of Alabama. Arkansas has proven it can hang with anyone offensively, but they have always lacked a defensive threat under Petrino. But, with all this said, I will call the Hogs this weekend, I will pray for a miracle. I still want John Smith gone, but that can wait until the end of the season. And I will still route for Alabama to win the national title, since I was born in Alabama and they are my second favorite college team.

Politics

I know it is always dangerous to discuss politics in an open or public forum; but, I must speak my mind. This presidential election must be about economic growth and recovery. The economy hasn't recovered from the recession. It has stablized, but it hasn't recovered. Unemployment is still at 8% and the government is so far into debt it's scary. The answer to the problem? Well, first we must ask, what in fact is the problem? The problem isn't the 1% as Occupy Wall Street supporters have said, the problem isn't big businesses. The problem isn't people against homosexual marriages, it isn't people that own guns. The problem is economic, and the government's complete ignorance in the matters of the market. Now, first the American people do not realize that the stock market is not the market. The market is the entire US economy: to include stocks, bonds, precious metals, manufacturing, services, retail, corporations, and pretty much anything that deals with making money. This includes people, the labor force that drives the machine. Now that I have clarified what exactly is the market, lets begin with how to fix the problem. First, how nation is founded on the oldest, most dependable, and only form of market style to survive the test of time, capitalism. Capitalism is founded on the principle that the economy is allowed to run itself; this occurs because people are trying to improve their own financial situation through ambitious desires. Many people strongly believe that the socialist economic style, called command economy (F.Y.I. communism is a form of government not an economic system), where no one owns anything, the government controls the market. In the command system everyone is equal, though certain people have more responsibility based on their abilities. In capitalism, if you have more responsibility or show greater production you receive more compensation for your work; however, in the command system, it doesn't matter how much work you do or how much you out perform your colleagues, you receive the same amount of compensation as the worker that does very little work and has no responsibility. This seems fair to many people, and in theory it does look good, but if there is no incentive to achieve then why would you try to become more than what you currently are. Without ambition, there is no innovation, without innovation there is no long term growth or adaptation to market changes. When you have no one developing new ideas, your market becomes stagnant; a stagnant market leads to the fall of your financial resources and eventual fall of your market system. Do not think I am saying capitalism is flawless; capitalism does lead to greed if people do not fear the consequences of their actions. Ethical behavior also comes from a culture built on moral values. The United States no longer see morality as a necessary part of life; we can do whatever we want and take a pill in the morning to eliminate the consequences. This has led to the rampant belief that big business men are evil. You can see it in so many films, some big corporation tries to destroy the lives of innocent people just to make a profit. Hollywood portrays Wall St as nothing but greedy, power hungry business leaders that only what to make money at the expense of the world and its resources. This is fundamentally wrong; capitalism requires a company to focus on more than just profits. If a company destroys the people that could buy their products, who will buy their products: with no one to purchase the products, there are no profits. This fundamental dependency on each other makes capitalism work. The more money a business has, the more they can pay their workers and owners; the more money the workers and owners has the more they can spend; the more they spend, the more businesses need to make and subsequently the more money they have. Can you see the pattern? This cycle allows the economy to grow in ways command markets cannot. Our economy however is no longer able to perform this fundamental aspect of capitalism and growth. The government, since the economic fall in 2008, has made it harder and harder for businesses to recover from the recession. When an economy enters a recession (economies have to endure recessions, they clean out the economic underbrush like a forest fire and are part of the natural cycles of all economies) the money supply becomes more important to control. This is because in a recession, each dollar is more valuable, because each dollar can purchase less than it did before (deflation). How can a government aid the economy in recovering? Well, the United States has a method they prefer to use during economic crisis; using the government to pickup where businesses slack off. This means when businesses spend less money because they have less, the government spends more to keep the economy where it was when the recession started. Seems to work in theory, correct? But look at it this way; if the government is going to spend more money, they have to raise more money. Who has the most money? The business men and the companies they own. So the government raises their taxes. However, now the business, which is already struggling due to the economic down turn and higher supply prices, has even less money to pay employees and purchase supplies. The businesses are forced to lay off more workers. The government is now caring for everyone that has lost a job during the recession, with more people losing their job, the government needs more money to care for them. So the government raises taxes again. Now the businesses and their owners have even less money, so more layoffs are needed. Can you see this pattern? So, what must the government do to fix the problem? Well, the government in the past few years has tried flooding the economy with more money. This doesn't seem to have an effect because it devalues the dollar even more and causes even more deflation. My belief is that the government should, like they did in the recession of the 1910s, reduce spending, cut taxes, and deregulate the economy. This keeps the amount of money in the economy the same (thus avoiding a devaluing of the dollar), it allows businesses and their owners to retain more money (thus giving them more to spend on employees, supplies, and more products that help other businesses), and it reduces the control of the government over the market. Since the Great Depression of the 1930s, our government has slowly tightened its grip on the nations economy. Now, the United States is the fastest growing command market in the world. We have lost sight of what our nation was founded on. Rather than complaining about the people richer than you not sharing the wealth, you should be out there making your own fortune. America wasn't built on a handout or welfare system, it was built on the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears of people who wanted to be better than what they were when they started. Remember, if the rich make more money, they spend more money, making more people rich. This nation was founded by people that worked hard for what they had, but it is being torn down by people that refuse to work at all. These people want what the CEOs and Chairmen of the Boards have without the time and effort those people had to put in to get there. You are not born the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, you work your entire life to get there, so why can't you spend a million dollars on a toilet. That million dollars gives someone a job. That is the real issue of this election. That is why I must vote against Obama. He simply doesn't have the economic competency to lead this nation. He isn't qualified to be our nations leader.

Giants vs Cowboys

With the NFL season now underway, let's look at the first win of the season. Though I am not a Dallas Cowboys or New York Giants fan, I do appreciate a good game. With the Cowboys defeating the reigning Super Bowl champion Giants, it shows that the Giants are not the team they once were. Yes, they are good, but they cannot win it all this season. They could win the NFC East, but I do not see them winning a game in the playoffs this season. The Cowboys looked good, not great by any means, but effective. However, Romo showed flashes of greatness, but also showed moments of complete failure. This is why he cannot be considered one of the NFL's elite. I look forward to reviewing many of the games this weekend.
