So I realized I have done a sports update on my school in a while. Lets begin with volleyball; after starting the season 9-0, the Eagles have gone 2-4 since. With a 3-4 conference record, WBC finds itself in a small hole to start conference play. The youth of the team seems to be catching up with them as the season progresses, with only five upper classmen on the team (4 Sr., 1 Jr.), inexperience seems to be the biggest obstacle. However, I have faith that Coach Newell can turn things around quickly and finish the season strong.
The WBC soccer team is off to a much different start. At 1-3, the Eagles have seemed to stubble out of the gate. However, despite losing their first three games, the Eagles have started conference play with a win. Another team filled with inexperience, the Eagle's soccer team has plenty of time to turn their season around as conference play continues. I look forward to bringing you more information about the WBC Eagles teams as the season progresses.
