Ray-Ban Disappointment

I recently purchased a pair of Ray-Ban Aviator glasses for my wife. They were custom and fairly expensive. After only having them for about  week, my wife bent over to pick something up and the fell. Just look at what happened. 

As you can see, one of the lenses shattered. My wife is not that tall and was bent over, how could it shatter the glass? I am returning the glasses and can only hope they will replace them. The internet does not have very good reviews for the company's customer service department. I will update this post with their response.
