The WBC Eagles Volleyball team were unable to right the ship this evening against conference foe Park University. Though the Eagles lost, I saw a determination to win through the entire game that I haven't seen in previous losses. The team fought to the bitter end and tried to hold out in the 3-0 loss. The Eagles also suffered a key injury to SR Katie Thomas; her loss was felt immediately. Transition from offense to defense seems to be the biggest weakness on the very young team, and with Thomas' injury they will need their younger players to step up on defense. Offensively the girls look good; of course there is room for improvement, but the team is finding it's offensive stars. Their is still time to turn the season around. With a month left in the season WBC could easily regain its composure and make the conference tournament.
